Stories of the New Testament as the key to education for coexistence and understanding in civil society.
LORKO, Radomíra
The thesis deals with the possibility of using the stories of the New Testament in value education in the family, regardless of whether its members are believers or not. The theoretical part sheds light on the important role of the family in value education. It views the family as a basic element of society, resp. as a fundamental community for education on basic values, the content of which is necessary for the building of civil society. Furthermore, the education of values is viewed from the point of view of the church through church documents and through the educational system of the Czech Republic. The practical part is experimental. It is divided into three parts. The first part is a set of structured meetings on topics such as freedom, courage, compassion, love of neighbor, tolerance and openness, including an introduction to the methods used. In the second part, both families are characterized. Both selected families do not profess any religion, have two children and two adults, agree with the proposed cooperation and belong to the middle class of the population. The third part of the experiment describes the application of the proposed programs and the result of the practice. Although the positive result of the experiment may be influenced by the fact that these are the families of the author's friends, it still has its weight precisely because all participants were not obliged to participate only in their sincerity resulting from trust in interpersonal friendships. A significant result of the work can be considered verification that the combination of different approaches to the text, from variant reading, listening to artistic expression, makes both attractive and seemingly uninteresting texts or topics that seem to stand outside of everyday life. The pupils of the second grade responded best to the program and, as they themselves expressed in the final discussions, appreciated the opportunity to express their opinions openly and in sufficient space and to express their creativity towards the given goal. Family members agreed that working in this experiment was fun, inspiring, and brought them new unexpected experiences.

ZEJDOVÁ, Veronika
This bachelor's thesis is dealing with the meaning of Christian spirituality in the context of social work. Emphasis is put on Christianity on which the charity social work is based on. The way this form of spirituality is functioning when applied on the process of help will be based on the chosen literature and I will also be finding out whether social work can build its meaning on Christian spirituality. Based on considerable correlations I will show how exactly does Christian spirituality benefit the motivation (to practice this service) of social workers and how social workers can work with their clients' spirituality. Next, I will deal with the lives and accomplishments of female saints, namely Agnes of Bohemia and Mother Theresa. Due to their Christian faith, both women devoted their lives to Jesus Christ and helping of the poor and needy.
